Anthropic drops categorical safety pause from Responsible Scaling Policy
Time reported that Anthropic removed its previous categorical commitment to pause development of AI systems when safety mitigations cannot be proven adequate.

Anthropic said the change reflects a pragmatic response to competition and the absence of binding regulation.
