AI for Good Global Summit 2026 concludes in Geneva

The AI for Good Global Summit 2026, hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with over 50 UN agencies and the Swiss government, ran from July 7 to July 10 in Geneva.

The summit focused on practical AI applications that serve humanity, including healthcare, education, food security, climate action, and disaster risk reduction.

Sessions covered quantum computing, creative intelligence, youth leadership, women entrepreneurs, and AI-driven mental health support. The final day featured the Innovation Factory finals and the AI for Good film festival.

Chinese representatives emphasized the need for open, people-centered global AI governance and international cooperation. The event also saw the inaugural AI and Space Computing Challenge results, with Chinese teams winning gold in all three categories.
